Thanksgiving

Every year Pax Romana hold a wonderful Thanksgiving Day lunch at the Hard Rock Café on the famous winding Via Veneto, next to the U.S. Embassy.

Here we get to enjoy together a "somewhat" traditional meal of turkey and potatoes; however we do have to smuggle-in our own cranberry sauce and other necessary American condiments, without which one just cannot eat Thanksgiving (one year the waiters actually took it from us!)

Other members who are unable to join us down in Rome often celebrate Thanksgiving in their Italian hometowns with local culinary combinations, celebrating our home and host countries such as Pumpkin Ravioli.

Oftentimes we also have the pleasure of husbands or other non-DAR American friends joining in as well. Here are some photos of previous years' lunches.
